ABOUT US

Concrene® mix designs are protected by granted patents in the US, Canada and EU.

Concrene Limited has a licensing business model.

We license our IP to our business partners who apply graphene into their concrete products and construction projects.

We do not manufacture graphene ourselves - instead, work with global leaders in graphene production with >1000T/pa output capacity.

Our partners buy the graphene product from the manufacturer directly and then pay us IP royalty for every cubic meter of concrete poured on site with graphene reinforcement.

Our granted patents protect the idea and application of graphene in concrete, irrespective of how the graphene was manufactured, delivered and dosed into the fresh concrete.

This unique advantage allows us to partner with a wide range of stakeholders across the nanotechnology and construction space.

If you are a construction company, concrete or cement manufacturer who wishes to use graphene, please get in touch for more information about obtaining a license.

Concrene Trucks

One of our licensees operates a fleet of volumetric trucks in BC, Canada. They apply the Concrene® mix designs in various residential projects.

The idea of using graphene to make concrete stronger and greener was born at the University of Exeter in 2014.

In 2018, we published a scientific paper in the prestigious, peer-reviewed journal Advanced Functional Materials, which was then placed in the top 5% of all research outputs ever tracked by Altmetric.

Concrene Limited was spun off from the University of Exeter, following the filing of a family of patents in March 2018 and the Concrene® trademark in July 2018.

Our team has a wide range of skills and experience which are fundamental to the business model and commercial strategy.
